This one-of-a-kind handmade ceramic pedestal plate is shaped like a whimsical red fly agaric mushroom (Amanita muscaria). At first glance it is a functional cake stand or fruit platter, but a closer look reveals an entire tiny world hidden beneath the mushroom cap.
Inside the mushroom cottage, a family of little mice lives a peaceful life inspired by classic storybooks.
Through the windows and open doorway you can discover miniature scenes carefully sculpted by hand:
a mother mouse taking care of the home,
a little mouse enjoying soup at the table,
a wood-burning stove with a bright red kettle,
shelves filled with books,
a wall clock,
tiny furniture,
a cozy rug,
and countless handcrafted details waiting to be discovered.
The chimney rising through the mushroom cap connects to the little stove inside, making the entire sculpture feel like a real fairy home.
The mushroom cap also serves as a large functional plate, perfect for displaying cakes, pastries, fruit, cheese, candles or seasonal decorations. Even when empty, it becomes the centerpiece of any table.
Every element was sculpted, assembled and painted entirely by hand.
Creating this piece required approximately 16–18 hours of work, including sculpting and detailed hand painting, making it a true collectible work of ceramic art.
